Question about Nintendo DSi?

This is for people who have a DSi or people who know about them.
I’m thinking of purchasing a Nintendo DSi, currently I have a Nintendo DS Lite and I just have a couple of questions. If anyone can answer these I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!!!!
1) OK, Can I still play wireless multiplayer games with other people who don’t have a DSi?, (eg. Can the DSi play wireless with the DS Lite?)
2) Sort of the same question, will the pictochat on the Nintendo DSi work with Nintendo DS Lites?
3) I hear that you can access the internet from the DSi, is this free of charge?

The answer to the first two questions is yes.
You can access the internet wither by having a wireless network in your home or from free Wi-Fi spots (in airports, city centres etc..)

yes you can play with people who already have a DS lite and the pitchochat will work too. All you need is a wireless router somewhere in your house for you to access wifi or you could find a internet cafe or wifi hotspot to connect to.

1 & 2. yes, nintendo dsi allows you to communicate wirelessly with about 15 other nintendo ds system owners within the range of your system (which is about 65 feet) and yes, this includes the dsi camera and pictochat.
3. yes you can access the internet from the dsi and it is free of charge to do so. however you will first need to download the nintendo dsi browser downloaded from the nintendo dsi shop (which is free, unlike the 30$ package for the ds lite)

3) You need to connect to the internet via a wireless network, so if the network is free then the internet is free.
